01.07.2026

From 14 to 19 June, OneSTOP participated in the 4th World Biodiversity Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, organised by the University of Zurich and titled “Leading Transformation Together”. With its 10 different thematic tracks, it welcomed more than 1000 participants across 70 countries.

Presentations

OneSTOP partner Laura Abraham (Meise Botanic Garden) gave a presentation on the five Living Labs and how they enable technology co-creation and societal experimentation, titled “Living Labs: integrating technology and societal action in OneSTOP biosecurity for transformative change”.

Additionally, OneSTOP was also quoted in two of Pensoft Publishers’ presentations. In the presentation “From FAIR Data to FAIR Policy [...]”, given by Alexandra Korcheva, OneSTOP was mentioned as an exemplary project following the FAIR framework. In the presentation “Communicating Science to Policy [...]”, given by Alexandra Korcheva and Desislava Raykova, OneSTOP’s joint policy brief with B-Cubed and TrIAS was provided as an example of translating research insights into policy advice.

The World Biodiversity Forum 2026 was an opportunity to create broad and strong networks for transformation, bringing science, society, and businesses together, across generations. The next WBF will take place in 2028, and it will build on the valuable experience from previous World Biodiversity Forums.
